Sake Shortbreads - French short bread, reimagined. If you want some story-telling to impress your friend at dinner: these are traditionally called "canistrelli", they are made in Corsica (South of France, where Napoleon was born) with olive oil and white wine. To make it our own, we replace the wine with Nigori sake (it's the very cloudy, ricey one).
Although they look quite simple, they taste really good. Dipped in coffee or tea? HEAVEN!
NOTE: The Sake is used pre bake so the resulting cookies are alcool-free after baking!
